Job Title: Senior Manager, Creative Services

A little bit about our team:

Creative Services is a global department committed to amplifying our songwriters and iconic music catalogs, driving engagement and building legacy through strategic marketing, content creation, brand partnerships and storytelling. Creative Services develops and executes campaigns and projects with strategic partners that keeps our songs at the center of culture across all media platforms including digital and social media, Film/TV, Theatrical, print and orchestral. We work with hit songwriters and dive deep into our legendary catalog, sharing their incredible stories with the world and providing new opportunities for their songs including new cover creation, interpolations, and sampling.

Your role:

The Senior Manager, Creative Services is a key member of CS, helping drive marketing, strategic partnerships and project development, management and operations across the US and reporting directly to the VP, Catalog Development. This role will work closely with the rest of the Creative Services team to develop, manage and execute creative projects and campaigns that amplify our songwriters and catalogs. Dive into our legendary catalog, work with our songwriters and share the power of music with the world. Where music, media, brands and technology all come together.

Here you'll get to:
• Contribute to the overall Warner Chappell Music strategy and help establish and execute on OKRs in line with the Creative Services business plan.
• Act as a liaison with our songwriters and catalog managers to align with their goals, developing marketing strategies, and executing culturally relevant activations around important milestones and catalog anniversaries.
• Work closely with A&R and Sync to develop deep knowledge of our songwriters and catalog, and identify areas of opportunity for increasing engagement and driving impact.
• Use your personal network to execute brand collaborations, strategic partnerships and activations that drive awareness for our roster and iconic songs.
• Represent the Creative Services team and present our capabilities in creative meetings with songwriters and managers and help communicate the department's vision across the company.
• Drive project management and operational workflow for Creative Services, using tools including Monday, Google Docs, Frame.io etc.
• Oversee strategy around short-form content (including content studios, content from songwriting camps and File Management) in cooperation with Corps Comms and DSP partner managers.
• Act as campaign manager lead on US specific projects and drive US based strategic partnership and brand activations, while collaborating closely with the rest of the team and within requirements, processes and expected results.
• Create decks, marketing materials, newsletter copy and case studies to help communicate team capabilities and project results, using data and high level stats, processes and workflows.
• Independently develop and manage creative projects and deal process effectively from ideation to execution across a high volume of creative accounts, projects, timelines, and deliverables.
• Collaborate closely within Creative Services and across Warner Chappell departments and global teams (Administration, Strategy & Ops, Legal, A&R and Sync, Comms) to understand nuances across the publishing business and how they affect potential deals and partnerships.
• Liaise regularly with WMG stakeholders and external record label partners, co-publishers, copyright owners, attorneys, managers, etc. for shared catalogs and projects.
• Build relationships with industry influencers and drive interest and engagement around the stories of our songwriters and catalog.
• Work in collaboration with the rest of the global team to help regional music travel around the world.
• Learn, build and work within our systems and databases; Monday.com, Mailchimp, and our proprietary systems, Sharp, Tango, etc.
• Handle and safeguard confidential and proprietary information.

About You:

For this position, we expect you to be a strong project manager, who is self-motivated with an ability to help define and plug into a global strategy, driving results for the US market. • Ability to assess the needs of the regional market, create opportunities for our songwriters and catalogs, and use key relationships to accomplish a vision.
• Ability to take initiative and convert brainstorming sessions into straightforward, timely action items, and communicate needs to the broader team.
• Strong project management skills and presentation skills – both oral and written.
• Ability to come up with marketing concepts that are in line with the team strategy, develop ideas with key collaborators, drive results, and provide feedback.
• Ability to deliver high quality, innovative projects, operate with flexibility in a fast-paced environment with evolving priorities, and be accountable for delivering on OKRs
• A strong desire to pitch in to help team members and a willingness to collaborate.

We'd love it if you also had:
• 5+ years of music business, marketing, creative or project management experience.
• Strong computer skills including the Google Business Suite, Monday.com, etc.
• Understanding of music publishing and a vested interest in the latest trends in music marketing.
• Experience with account management and rights management.
• Relationships with brand and media partners.

Effective October 1st, 2023 this position will require being in the office 4 days a week. We believe that an in-office presence is critical for talent development, collaboration and building strong relationships.

Salary Range
Annual Rate: $90,000 to $100,000 Annually

Salary ranges are included for job postings where required by law. The actual base pay is dependent upon many factors, such as work experience and business needs. The pay range is subject to change at any time dependent on a variety of internal and external factors.
