Universal Pictures International (UPI & Eire) is the International Distribution and Marketing division for Universal Pictures. In the United Kingdom, Austria, Spain, Italy, Germany, Switzerland, the Netherlands, France, Korea, Hong Kong, Australia, New Zealand, Mexico and China, UPI directly markets and distributes movies through its local offices, creating campaigns and release strategies that respond to the culture and market behaviour of those territories. In other parts of the world, UPI partners with Paramount and Sony in the distribution of all three companies' films. Job Description

An exciting opportunity has arisen to join the UK Publicity Team within Universal Pictures International. Based in London, the UK Publicity team is responsible for driving talkability and generating unmissable moments through innovative activity that achieves true cut through for our eclectic slate of films.

We are looking for a Senior Publicity Manager to take a leading role on the team, creating and implementing original and stand-out publicity campaigns. This person will also head up our Influencer strategy, using their expertise to produce a best-in-class framework. An integral part of the team, the ideal candidate will be a seasoned publicist who has led on a number of high-profile theatrical campaigns, generating traditional and digital activations and has experience of handling top-tier talent and filmmakers.

Key Responsibilities
• Develop and implement comprehensive publicity campaign strategies
• Line-manage multiple direct reports, supporting and nurturing their professional development, as well as providing ad hoc support and being a role model to the wider publicity team
• Work collaboratively and cross-functionally, developing strong relationships within the UK, EMEA & HO teams ensuring business needs/goals are met
• Deputise for the Head of Publicity as and when required at internal and external meetings
• Instigate forward-thinking, fresh and creative ideas and have strong insight of the current and future media landscape, with excellent contacts across print, broadcast and digital in the UK
• Lead talent activity at junkets and premieres
• Manage outside PR agencies and suppliers
• Develop and nurture strong relationships with various media outlets, working across print, broadcast and digital
• Lead and build an influencer framework and strategy, spearheading content creator initiatives and owning and developing excellent relationships across the influencer landscape
• Lead ideation and management of events including screenings and activations
• Manage budget activity on designated releases
• Work closely with marketing, sales, brand departments and the EMEA/Global Publicity teams to ensure the strategic direction for each release is successfully implemented to plan
• Ensure good stakeholder management, reporting effectively and concisely

Skills/Qualifications
• Excellent knowledge of all aspects of publicity with the ability to devise and execute innovative marketing campaigns
• Demonstrated theatrical publicity experience coupled with a track record of achievement
• In-depth understanding of digital media and influencer marketing with extensive experience managing publicity and influencer agencies
• Strong experience ideating and producing events including screenings, junkets and film premieres plus the development and execution of creative initiatives and activations
• Strong team player with ability to build and maintain relationships both internally within the organisation and externally
• Excellent communication skills (both oral and written) coupled with excellent presentation skills
• Excellent planning and organisational skills with the ability to work to tight deadlines in a fast-paced environment
• Demonstrated experience of working within a dynamic and fast paced demanding environment
• Excellent knowledge of the theatrical market and landscape
• Experience with creative development
• Agency management experience
• Line management experience
