About the Role & Team

The Ad Partnerships team is responsible for evaluating and optimizing partnerships to ensure that contractual terms, revenue models, policies, and capabilities drive ad revenue growth and reinforce Disney Ad Sales as the marketplace leader. Scope of Responsibilities include: external partner management, deal negotiation, and qualitative and quantitative analysis to evaluate and prioritize optimal business models, capabilities, and ad policy. We collaborate across all levels of seniority within Platform Distribution, Legal, Ad Platforms, Finance and Ad Sales.

The Manager, Ad Partnerships will serve as Ad Sales' day-to-day lead and subject matter expert for select Platform / Content Distribution and Business Development partnerships. They will conduct research and analysis to identify and advocate for solutions that unlock Disney Ad Sales needs, priorities, and growth through partnerships such as MVPDs and MVPDs, Device Manufacturers, Free Ad-Supported Streaming TV (F.A.S.T.) providers, and monetization / demand partners. They will collaborate across internal and external partners to inform decisions and ensure that key partnerships maximize ad revenue across the Disney portfolio of brands and platforms. The individual will report to the Director, Ad Partnerships.

What You Will Do:
• Manage day-to-day relationships with select partners including reviewing deal terms, monitoring performance, communicating needs and flagging issues and identifying opportunities to drive growth
• Evaluates and weighs in on optimal ad sales related business terms for content distribution deals (e.g., MVPDs & DMVPDs, Device Manufacturers, Free Ad-Supported Streaming TV (F.A.S.T.) providers), and third party monetization partners
• Conducts robust analysis and gathers in-depth marketplace intelligence to inform business strategy and decisions
• Fosters productive and respectful relationships with partners and key stakeholders across the company, establishing themselves as an important resource for developing solutions
• Collaboration with cross-functional colleagues to assess business needs, communicate partner developments and ensure operational and financial readiness for changes
• Contract review, evaluation and development of optimal ad terms for distribution and monetization deals
• Quantitative and qualitative analysis to inform partnership strategy and negotiations
• Manage and optimize relationships with external partners

Required Qualifications & Skills:
• 5+ years experience in media, with experience in ad sales, business development, platform distribution or account management preferred
• Demonstrated ability to lead projects and collaborate across functions to contribute to the success of a large & matrixed organization
• Understanding of distribution landscape, addressable advertising, platform capabilities, and critical business terms in partner deals
• Experience synthesizing business contracts or terms for executive level discussion
• Experience conducting extensive quantitative and qualitative analysis to evaluate and inform business decisions
• Excellent interpersonal, verbal, and written communication skills
• Self-starter with curiosity, creativity and resourcefulness
• Solution-oriented, with ability to craft a concise recommendation based on analysis
• Strategic and analytical skills that provide business insight and support decision-making
• Adept at simultaneously managing multiple work streams
• A collaborative, team player who is comfortable pivoting as priorities change
• Proficiency in Word, Excel, Outlook and Power Point or Keynote
• Bachelor's Degree or equivalent work experience

The hiring range for this position in New York is $126,000 - $157,400 per year and in Los Angeles is $123,000 - $150,200. The base pay actually offered will take into account internal equity and also may vary depending on the candidate's geographic region, job-related knowledge, skills, and experience among other factors. A bonus and/or long-term incentive units may be provided as part of the compensation package, in addition to the full range of medical, financial, and/or other benefits, dependent on the level and position offered.
